We have done several projects for Handrich Properties out of Alpena, MI. This one was a tough one. Surprised by 4 layers of shingles and cedar shakes beneath it all, we had to re-deck the roof before installing the new CertainTeed shingles.
Laura also left us a review on our facebook page. We were scheduled to complete this roof by March as she was going to have it on the market to sell. We fought the weather and got it completed, just for the 2025 ice storm to drop trees all over it 2 months later, putting holes through the roof decking. We again repaired the damages and then roofed the pole barn out back as well.
Big Blue... That's what we named her. This home was a previous flip and it had plenty of issues such as no existing flashing on the dormers! We put CertainTeed Pro shingles on this one. That roof will out live us all!
We repaired this roof prior, just the chimney cap needed re caulked. The owner called us back the next year for his roof replacement first of the spring 2025!
This was a fun one! The transformation in person was intense, watching it unfold into a brand new home. The roof, siding, soffit, fascia, and shutters. The power siding has to transform your entire home is just amazing. Vented soffit along with ridge vents... Just another roof that will now last a lifetime.
The customer and I went back and forth on siding options and colors, shingle color variations, skylight replacements and trims for months. He purchased this lake cabin for his son to inherit, so he was the one really calling the shots. Full outside shell transformation on this one!
This particular project was memorable for the crew and myself as the "Google Car" went by mid project! One of the many roofs we have completed through Habitat For Humanity!
